List of American Idol Winners from Season 1-9: Where Was David Cook on The American Idol Finale?

American Idol winner list American Idol winners

List of American Idol winners from season 1-9. After watching the Idol finale last night it dawned on me, where was David Cook? For all those fans who don’t remember, Cook was your season 7 winner. According to Twitter, Cook was taking part in a charity for Cancer, which his brother died from back in 2009.

So don’t worry fans David is good, and was missing for a great cause. Don’t get me wrong, the reunion for Simon Cowell leaving was extremely sweet, but cancer needs to be beat. Anyway, after seeing Kelly, Ruben, and Taylor I figured let’s make a list of all your past American Idol winners, to see how different each one was.

Season 1 Winner Kelly Clarkson

The first season of Idol had some really great talent. I remember each week waiting to see what song Kelly and Justin were going to perform. I knew from the auditions that Kelly was going to be in your top 2. Her voice is simply amazing. Favorite song “A Moment Like This.”

Kelly’s full name is Kelly Brianne Clarkson. She was born in 1982, and is 5 ft 3. Why some fans are so curious about what each celebrity weighs I have no idea, but Kelly weighs around 160-180 pounds for all who is wondering.

Season 2 Winner Ruben Studdard

The big bear of the bunch. This season was a close call. The two that battled it out for most of the season was Ruben and Clay. Close to the finale the favorite was Clay, but as we all know favorites do not win.

Ruben was born September 12, 1978. His full name is Christopher Ruben Studdard.

Ruben is approximately 6ft 4, and weighs around 350 pounds. Favorite song by him, “Flying Without Wings.”

Season 3 Winner Fantasia

This was a boring season for me. I wasn’t really impressed by any of the Idols except maybe Diana DeGarmo, or Jennifer Hudson. Fantasia’s voice was very loud, and quite annoying.

Fantasia was born in 1984. Her real name is Fantasia Monique Barrino. Her height is 5 ft 7, and weighs around 140 now. She has a lot of weight since last being on Idol.

Season 4 Winner Carrie Underwood

Here you had a few good Idols. Bo Bice, Constantine, and Carrie were extremely hot. Bo was my favorite to win, but I was very very happy with Carrie winning. Her voice is very beautiful, and she has become a huge success. Favorite song too many to list.

Carrie was born on March 10, 1983. She is 5ft 3, and weighs around 130 I would say.

Season 5 Winner Taylor Hicks

Watching Taylor perform was very enjoyable, but my man Chris Daughtry should have won. I really don’t have a favorite song from him. Taylor was born on October 7, 1976 and is 6ft 1. Weight I have no idea what so ever.

Season 6 Winner Jordin Sparks

Another boring Idol season. The only thing I enjoyed was watching Sanjaya making a fool out of himself, and his hairstyles each week. Jordin was born on December 22, 1989. She is 5ft 10, and weighs around 160 I guess.

Season 7 Winner David Cook

This season was great. Cook has raw talent, and was very pleasing to watch. Cook was born on December 20, 1982, and was almost beat out by David Archuleta. My favorite performance was the Mariah Carey song.

David is 5 ft 11, and weighs around 160.

Season 8 Winner Kris Allen

What can I say? Adam Lambert was your favorite, and lost. I didn’t care for Kris Allen. He is cute though. Not too much to say about him.

Season 9 Winner Lee DeWyze

Lee was simply great. Yes Crystal was the favorite to win, and should have. But Lee was very deserving of this I feel.

I just finished my recap of last nights show, it took me 2 hours, I was wondering where David Cook was last night. Great listing of past winners. I still think Kelly is so amazing. I like all the old Idol winners and the runner ups too.

I love Lee but Chrystal should have won, Fantasia was wonderful, I wanted her to win the minute I heard her voice in the first audition

Ranked #12 in Reality TV

I'm disappointed that Lee won. I think Crystal was the best of all of the contestants. I wonder if people thought she couldn't do the rigorous schedule because of her diabetes? I know she will have a career.. but still think she should have won.
